The “cote d’application de l’échelle mobile des salaires” is the index with which salaries are adjusted in the contexte of the automatic wage indexation mechanism. Often the value of the “cote d’application” is displayed on the payrolls. The entry into force of a new “cote d’application” results in an increase of 2.5% of all wages, pensions and salaries. The value of a new “cote d’application” corresponds to the former one increased by 2.5%. The entry into force of a new “cote d’application” is dependent on the entry into force of a “cote d’échéance de l’échelle mobile des salaires” before. In the non-modulated system of automatic wage indexation mechanism the “cote d’application” enters into force one month after the entry into force of “cote d’échéance”.
The actual value of the cote d'application can be found on the publication "Fast Indicators - Series A1".
