The definition adopted for the cultural employment is as follows : « all persons that either have a cultural occupation or work in a cultural domain ».
Cultural employment can take three forms:
(1) Population in employment that works in a cultural domain and has a cultural occupation, e.g. a dancer in a ballet company or a journalist in the press;
(2) Population in employment that has a cultural occupation outside the cultural domains, e.g. a designer in the industry;
(3) Population in employment that works in a cultural domain but without a cultural occupation, e.g. an accountant working in a publishing house.
