In the context of the debate on the Luxembourgish language and its introduction or not as the first official language of the country for administrative and judicial matters, which is being held today in the Chamber of Deputies, STATEC recalls the data on the use of the language by the residents of Luxembourg.

On average, people living in Luxembourg speak 2.2 languages. 60.2% of the residents speak two languages or more.
