Households allocate 12% of their food expenditure to organic products

Since 2011, the share of private food expenditure devoted to organic products has varied between 10% and 14% depending on the year. Thus, no real boom has occurred according to the results of the household budget survey (EBM) carried out by STATEC. The organic products preferred by consumers are baby food (38%), honey (22%), eggs (20%), flour and cereals (15%), milk 12% and fruits and vegetables (10%).
