642 motorcyclists were involved in accidents during this period. 282 were seriously and 311 slightly injured. The most serious accidents occur in the North and East of the country. Speed accounts for almost half of all motorcycle crimes. 3% of motorcycle drivers were tested positive for alcohol compared to 17% of 4-wheeled drivers.
