STATEC took a closer look at six government measures including free public transport and higher excise duties on gasoline and diesel. As a result of this, the measures taken together have a small positive impact on GDP and a more substantial effect on employment. The impact on the State budget, on the other hand, is negative, which is self-evident, since the measures involve public money beforehand.
