The energy transition makes it necessary to take a closer look at fuel consumption and household transport modes. According to data from the Household Budget Survey, the average annual expenditure in 2017 is EUR 1,260 for fuel for individual transport, EUR 420 for fuel oil and EUR 100 for public transport on the national territory. These average values nevertheless vary greatly according to the characteristics of the households.
