Situtation in December. In January 2012, a new methodology was applied by redefining the work applicant. Thus, the statistics were updated retroactively as from January 2006 with the following definition of the work applicant: people without employment, residents on the national territory, available for the job market, searching an appropriate employment, non affected to a measurement for employment, compensated or not compensated, having respected the follow-op obligations of the ADEM and which are neither on sick leave for more than 7 days, nor on maternity leave.
