The border worker is assimilated to the resident worker. In January 2012, a new methodology was applied by redefining the work applicant. Thus, the statistics were updated retroactively as from January 2006 with the following definition of the work applicant: people without employment, residents on the national territory, available for the job market, searching an appropriate employment, non affected to a measurement for employment, compensated or not compensated, having respected the follow-op obligations of the ADEM and which are neither on sick leave for more than 7 days, nor on maternity leave.

Pay attention that foregoing heading CTR does not take up the people who profit of an external decision of reclassification, registered at the ADEM but not residing on the national territory.
