Payroll employment: +0.5% in the second quarter of 2023 and +2.5% over 12 months

The slowdown in the growth of salaried employment continued in the second quarter of 2023: the salaried employment market grew by +0.5% compared to the first quarter of 2023 (same growth as in the previous quarter). The annual variation was +2.5% (+2.9% in the first quarter of 2023). Financial and insurance activities (+0.9%) as well as administration and other public services (+0.8%) show the strongest quarterly growth compared to the first quarter 2023. For construction activities, a further decline is observed in the second quarter of 2023 (-0.5% compared to the first quarter of 2023).
