Nearly 550 000 inhabitants in the Grand Duchy on 1 January 2014

During the year 2013, the population of the Grand Duchy, calculated by STATEC, increased by 12,641 people to reach 549 680 inhabitants at 1 January 2014. Over 80% of the increase of the population is due to net migration. 45.3% of the inhabitants of the country do not have the Luxembourg nationality.
