Globally, 51% of internet users are registered on a social networking website like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedln and 47% log in every day, mainly to find lost friends. About a quarter of the EU-27 population have never used the internet. This proportion is 8% in Luxembourg, 14% in Belgium, 16% in Germany and 18% in France. 55% of young people aged under 25 have already downloaded cultural content illegally.
