Chiara PERONI (Head of division)
Chiara PERONI is the head of STATEC’s Research Division. She joined ANEC/STATEC as senior researcher in April 2011. Chiara is an econometrician with a background in macroeconomic analysis and financial econometrics. She is interested in the application of non-parametric methods to measure productivity and efficiency, and to study policy issues, such as environmental degradation and quality of life. Currently, she is engaged in analysing how welfare is linked to economic outcomes and entrepreneurship. She worked on the estimation of potential output and the output gap for Luxembourg. She is Luxembourg’s delegate at the EU Output Gap Working Group, and at the OECD CIIE. Before joining STATEC, Chiara held lecturer positions at the University of East Anglia (UK) and the University of Manchester (UK). Chiara holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York (UK).
