Consumer prices in June: Annual inflation up from 6.8% to 7.4%In June 2022, the national consumer price index, calculated by STATEC, increased by 0.8. This trend is explained by the marked price increase in petroleum products of 6.1% in one month, associated with the continuous increase in food products. The annual inflation rate is increasing to reach 7.4% in June.
The price of petroleum products is increasing. It is even more expensive for motorists to go to the pump. Compared to the previous month, prices for diesel have risen by 8.1% and for petrol by 11.1%. The price of heating oil rose by 5.8%. Compared to June of the previous year, the prices of black gold products in the index basket are 56.3% higher.
