Luxembourg in figures 2023 now available

The new 84-page edition of "Luxembourg in figures" provides a statistical overview of the country and Luxembourg society. The brochure gathers previously unpublished statistical data on the territory and the environment, the population and the labour market, social conditions, businesses and the country's economy and finances. International comparisons help to situate Luxembourg in relation to the countries of the European Union and the world's major economies.

  • Only 15.4% of trees in Luxembourg are undamaged ? 
  • The carbon footprint is 18.7 tonnes of CO2 per inhabitant ?
  • The life expectancy of boys born in 2022 is 80.5 years, and 84.8 years for girls ? 
  • 6,495 children were born in Luxembourg in 2022 ?  
  • The average age at which women have their first child is 31.1 ?   
  • The at-risk-of-poverty threshold is €2,265 ? 
  • Niederanven is the commune with the highest average salary ?
