New car registrations in Luxembourg: a difficult year ... ... but greener
In 2022, a total of 42,094 new car registrations were recorded in Luxembourg. The lowest figure since 1999 (40,989 cars). The decrease observed is 2278 vehicles, i.e. -5.1% compared to the previous year, which was already down. This phenomenon can be explained by the Covid pandemic, delivery delays, inflation and uncertainty about the choice of engine. The year of all records goes back to 2019 with 55,008 new cars registered.

If we look at the monthly evolution since 2018, it is obvious that the craze for electric vehicles that began in 2020 is continuing.
