Annual inflation rate down from 3.2% to 3.0%

In November 2023, the national consumer price index, calculated by the STATEC, showed a monthly fall of 0.3%. This change can be explained by the sharp fall in petroleum product prices, combined with lower travel costs.

For the second month running, the trend in petroleum product prices is downwards. Compared with October, products derived from black gold are down by 3.2%. Prices at the pump are cheaper for motorists, down 4.8% for diesel and 1.9% for petrol compared with October. The price of heating oil has fallen by 5.8%, and that of town gas by 1.4%. Compared with November last year, prices of petroleum products are 9.2% lower.
