17,083 jobseekers, a stable unemployment rate and a fall in the number of new registrations

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 17,083 at 30 June 2024, an increase of 1,750 (or 11.4%) compared with June 2023. 

This number of jobseekers is up for all vacancy durations.  
The most highly qualified jobseekers (higher education graduates) and those aged between 30 and 44 are experiencing the biggest increases.  

In terms of occupations, the biggest increases were in construction (ROME category F), installation and maintenance (category I), transport and logistics (category N), finance and real estate (category C), hotels, restaurants, tourism and leisure (category G), accountancy (M12) and IT (M18).  

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC remains unchanged from the previous month at 5.7%.
