18,293 jobseekers and unemployment stable at 5.8%

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM stood at 18,293 on 31 October 2024, an increase of 1,366 (or 8.1%) compared with October 2023. 

This number of jobseekers is up for all vacancy durations. 

The most highly qualified jobseekers (higher education graduates) and those aged between 30 and 44 saw the biggest increases. 

In terms of occupations, the biggest rises were in road transport driving (ROME category N41), culinary production (category G16), IT (M18) and building finishing (F16).  

The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC remains stable at 5.8%.
