Clear slowdown in construction prices
Between October 2023 and April 2024, the trend in residential construction prices continued to slow, with a modest half-year rise of 0.5%. This represents a significant decrease on the previous period from April to October 2023, when the increase was 1.2%. Year-on-year, residential construction prices rose by just 1.7%. This annual variation thus returned to its long-term average level observed between 2010 and 2019. This marked slowdown is largely attributable to the decline in prices for shell construction, offset by continued increases for technical installations.
