The unemployment rate remains stable at 5.9%

The number of registered job seekers available for work at ADEM stood at 18,903 on 31 March 2025, an increase of 1,249 people (or 7.1%) compared to March 2024. 

This increase mainly concerns job seekers who have been registered for 12 months or more, as well as the most highly qualified job seekers (higher education graduates). 

In terms of occupations, the largest increases were in accounting (ROME category M12), IT (category M18), food production (G16) and road transport (N41).

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate, calculated by STATEC, stands at 5.9%.
