The year 2024 ends with 19,532 jobseekers and 5,935 vacancies.

The number of available resident jobseekers registered with ADEM was 19,532 at 31 December 2024, an increase of 1,334 people (or 7.3%) compared with December 2023. 

This increase particularly concerns jobseekers registered for 7 months or more, jobseekers over 30 years old, as well as the most highly qualified jobseekers (higher education graduates). 
In terms of occupations, the biggest increases were in road transport driving occupations (ROME category N41), accountancy (category M12), culinary production (G16), information technology (M18), and banking (C12). 

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate calculated by STATEC remains stable at 5.9%.
