Annual inflation rate down from 1.9% to 1.7%

In February 2025, the national consumer price index, calculated by STATEC, rose by 1.2% on the previous month. Excluding the effect of the return of sales, the index rose by 0.4% on the previous month.

In February, the monthly change in the general index was mainly due to the upward impact of the divisions affected by the winter sales in January, namely “Clothing and footwear” (+15.5% on January), “Leisure and culture” (+4.0%) and “Furniture, household goods and routine home maintenance” (+1.0%).
