Annual inflation rate up from 2.0% to 2.2%

In June 2025, the national consumer price index calculated by STATEC rose by 0.1% compared with the previous month, due to a rise in petroleum product prices, combined with an increase in food prices.

After three months of consecutive falls, the trend for petroleum products has reversed, with prices up 1.4% in one month. In June, diesel costs 2.5% more than in May, while the increase for petrol was just 1.0%. The price of heating oil rose by 4.1%, while that of town gas fell by 1.0%. Prices for products derived from black gold are 1.0% lower than in June last year.
