Consumer prices in February: annual inflation up to 2.3%

Following the monthly decline of 0.90% in January due to winter sales, the consumer price index, calculated by STATEC, rose by 1.90% in February. After excluding the effect of winter sales, the index increases by 0.49%. Annual inflation is 2.30% in February up from 2.10% in January.  The core inflation grows faster; indeed the annual rate is 2.29 in February up from 2.15% in January.
