Inflation forecasts: 5.8% for 2022 and 2.8% for 2023

STATEC is again revising upwards its inflation forecasts for 2022 and 2023. The outbreak of war in Ukraine and strict containment measures in China are expected to further increase the price of a number of commodities and further disrupt supply chains. These new elements would thus tend to intensify and prolong the currently very substantial inflationary pressures.
