What's it about?

The aim of the business cycle analysis is to gain a better understanding of the functioning of the Luxembourg economy and to forecast its future development, based on the recent evolution of different economic variables and the relationships between them.

These variables are drawn from various domains, including business and consumer activity and opinion surveys, national accounts, balance of payments, prices and wages, labour market statistics (employment, unemployment), public finances and statistics relating to energy (consumption, production) and associated emissions.
