What's it about?

The Luxembourg financial centre is an international financial centre. As such, it has a key place in the economy of Luxembourg. The pillars of today's financial sector are the interbank market, private banking, the administration and distribution of investment funds and the different supporting activities. More recently, insurance (especially life insurance under the free provision of services regime) and reinsurance (reinsurance captives) activities have, in turn, been growing.
