Older job seekers are close to those of their younger counterparts in terms of gender and nationality profiles, but are less qualified. The types of jobs sought by the older job seekers are similar to those sought by their juniors. Older unemployed are more subject to decisions outplacement and suffer more disability than younger unemployed (42 % against 16 %). Finally, the long-term unemployment affects far more often unemployed seniors.
