10 years of accidents on Luxembourg roads in numbers

Over the last ten years, between 2011 and 2020, the Grand Duchy has recorded 9,423 bodily accidents on its roads, resulting in 12,787 victims. 324 people lost their lives during this period, i.e. 2.5% of the victims. Between 1991 and 2004, the number of accidents involving injuries on Luxembourg roads fell almost continuously, from 1,129 to 716 accidents. It then increased to settle permanently below the 1000 mark and fluctuated between 900 and 1000 per year between 2011 and 2019. The year 2020 shows a particularly low number with 771 accidents due to the reduction of traffic caused by the COVID-19 health crisis. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
