Luxembourg's demography in figures

Edition 2025

On 1 January 2025, Luxembourg had 681,973 inhabitants, 9,923 more than in 2024 (+1.5%). This population increase is lower than in 2023 (1.7% increase). This population growth is mainly due to migration: 25,725 migrants arrived in the country in 2024 and 16,444 left. In 2024, there were also 6,459 births and 4,471 deaths.
