Infographic 05/23 - Internet use among 16-24 year olds

In 2022, respondents were asked what benefits they derived from using the Internet. Among 16-24 year olds, as with other age groups, the first benefit is the possibility offered by the Internet of keeping in touch or increasing contact with family and friends, followed by better monitoring of local and international news. Strikingly, among young people, the fight against boredom offered by the Internet is tied for 2nd place with the best information. In the other age groups, saving time is cited in 3rd place and "avoiding boredom" comes a distant 7th to 10th.
