Infographic 02/26 - Price index changes: what will change in 2026

The consumer price index (CPI), the official measure of inflation and the trigger for index-linked pay scales in Luxembourg, will change from 2026 onwards to better reflect current household consumption patterns. The new CPI will be based on the consumption patterns of households in Luxembourg, as measured by the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSESAT). The new index will be calculated using a basket of goods and services that is representative of the consumption patterns of households in Luxembourg.
