Housing figures for the second quarter of 2023
In the second quarter of 2023, house prices (flats and houses combined) fell by 6.4% compared with the second quarter of 2022, so that the fall in prices seen in the first quarter of the year accelerated. The biggest annual change was in the prices of existing homes, which plummeted by 13.5%. The index for flats under construction (which corresponds to VEFA sales) is the only sub-series to have risen compared with the second quarter of the previous year.
