Eventful years

STATEC publishes its 2021-2022 activity report and looks back on two eventful years: a population census, a new Statistical Portal, a range of conferences and seminars. The year 2022 also marks STATEC's 60th anniversary and on this occasion Serge Allegrezza, Director of the Institute, looks back on the Institute's achievements over the last decade. These last years were also years marked by many challenges: rising prices, purchasing power and the ecological transition. The activity report takes a look behind the scenes of the institute and traces how the price index is calculated, how energy statistics are composed and how Statec has adapted its forecasting models to inflation.
