Regards 11/12 - Regards sur les accidents causés par la vitesse

33 people died in road accidents and 317 were seriously injured in 2011 in Luxembourg. Among the common causes of road accidents, over speeding was the most frequent one (28%), followed by the violation of the right of way (16%) and the non respect of the safety distance between cars (10%). Mostly half of the fatal accidents and two of three accidents with seriously injured were due to over speeding.
