Regards 01/22 - 29% of the population has already been affected by acts of violence in the last 5 years

Violence is certainly one of the most sensitive topics in modern societies. This Regards analyzes the victimization of sexual, physical and psychological violence in Luxembourg. For this he relies on the results of the current wave of the safety survey conducted by STATEC in 2019/2020. It shows that 29% of the population has been affected by violence over the past 5 years. The number of people reporting having experienced violence has increased by almost a third compared to the last survey in 2013. In addition to historical trends, individual risk factors, including age, are discussed.
