Regards 5/22 - Women and Violence

Violence against women and in personal relationships has become a growing issue since the emergence of the women's rights movement in the 1960s. According to the United Nations (UN), violence against women is one of the most common human rights violations in the world. In Luxembourg, two-thirds of women report having been victims of physical, psychological, sexual or economic violence at least once in their lives. When a woman has recently been a victim of violence, her overall sense of insecurity and her fear of being attacked again increases.
