Regards 12/22 - Drinking and driving accidents on our roads
If we consider the presence of alcohol in the event of a bodily injury accident, it appears that, on average, over the last five years, 3% of drivers of four-wheeled vehicles were under the influence of alcohol and 10% in a state of drunkenness. These conditions were more often observed among male drivers than among female drivers, with percentages of 4% and 12% for men and 2% and 6% for women respectively. Alcohol was also found among other categories of users. In fact, 1% of pedestrians were under the influence of alcohol and 3% were drunk, as were 1% and 5% respectively of drivers of motorised two-wheelers.
