Regards 02/23 - Residents' summer holidays: a record number of stays in 2022

Residents have returned to their tourist habits. In the summer of 2022, they made 916,000 leisure stays, i.e. 1.7 stays/resident. This corresponds to an increase of 36% compared to the summer of 2019, the last summer of reference before the decline in tourism due to the health crisis. The last sectors in which tourism was struggling to recover, i.e. air travel, and especially travel to distant destinations, recovered or even exceeded their pre-crisis level in the summer of 2022.
