Regards 05/24 - Rest, good weather, beach and food: the four key ingredients for an ideal holiday

These unprecedented results come from an open question asked in the 2022 tourism survey: "If I say 'ideal holiday' to you, what comes to mind? Relaxing, enjoying the good weather, being by the seaside and having access to food that you love play an important role in the mental representation of ideal holidays by Luxembourg residents. Being with family and discovering new things come a close second. The lexical fields of rest and good weather are evoked by more than half the respondents, the beach by more than a third and the restaurant by a quarter. In addition to these 4 criteria common to many residents, there are nuances in preferences depending on age, standard of living or family situation, for example.
