Regards 10/24 - Luxembourg among Europe's leaders in volunteering in 2022

In Luxembourg, 35% of the population volunteered in 2022. This makes Luxembourg the fourth country in Europe with the highest number of volunteers (as a proportion of the population). Most volunteers give their time to charities (25.3%) and sports associations (24.9%). They are more likely to be of Luxembourg nationality and aged between 61 and 80. They also come from well-off households, tend to be highly educated, happy and don't feel lonely. The study also shows that people's feelings of well-being and social integration are correlated with their involvement in voluntary work.
