RP2021 N°18 - Automobile dependence for commuting to and from work

Faced with the issue of greenhouse gas emissions and fair access to jobs, it’s of interest to report on daily commuting and, in particular, the use of different modes of transport, especially in the Luxembourg context where reliance on the private car is historically and culturally important. Here, we explore the length, duration and modes of commuting for the employed, as reported in the 2021 census.
