  • Chiara Peroni and Francesco Sarracino were invited to present the papers "Productivity gains from job satisfaction" and "A year of pandemic: Changes and validity of well-being data from Twitter" at the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being, in November, held in Rome, Italy, and co-organised by the OECD, the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance, and ISTAT.

  • In February, Kelsey O’Connor presented "Harnessing well-being: To improve workplace outcomes and sustainability" at the "Focus on the ‘S’ in ESG: How to cultivate employee engagement and well-being" event, hosted by the House of Sustainability in Luxembourg.
  • In February 2024, Cesare Riillo presented "Are happy people successful entrepreneurs? A study on GEM data" at the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Annual Meeting in Casablanca, Morocco.
  • In January, Giulia Slater was invited to give an online presentation on "Social capital and well-being" for the University of Magdeburg, Germany.
  • In January, Cesare Riillo presented "Luxembourg Global Entrepreneurship Monitor 2022/2023: 10 years of entrepreneurship" at the meeting of the "Commission entrepreneuriat" at the House of Entrepreneurship in Luxembourg.
  • In January, at the Paris Wellbeing 2024 International Interdisciplinary Conference, organised by Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris University, Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris University, and STATEC Research, Francesco Sarracino delivered a keynote speech on "Economic possibilities for our grandchildren reloaded". Fengyu Wu, Kelsey O’Connor, and Giulia Slater presented the papers "Adverse conditions, civic engagement, and life satisfaction around the world", "Does well-being governance enhance well-being?", and "Perspectives on social capital and wellbeing".

  • In November, Chiara Peroni, Charles-Henri Di Maria, and Xi Chen each presented papers at the seminar Découplages ressources-production et performance éco-socio-environnementale, organized by the l’Observatoire de la compétitivité and the Conseil national de la productivité, specifically: Labour productivity dispersion and allocative efficiency in LuxembourgEvaluation verte, and Luxembourg labour productivity slowdown in a comparative perspective.
  • In November, Charles-Henri DiMaria presented “ESG Principles: the limits to green benchmarking” at the Conference on Climate and Energy Finance organized by Leibniz University Hannover in Germany.
  • In September, Vasja Sivec presented “Lux experience with EUCAM Python software” at the Output Gap Working Group organized by European Commission in Luxembourg.
  • Francesco Sarracino presented “A measure of well-being productivity based on the World Happiness Report” at the Workshop on Inequality, Poverty, Equal Opportunities, and Subjective Wellbeing organized by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in September.

  • In August, Kelsey O’Connor and Giulia Slater each presented papers at the Towards a People First Economy: A world to win in Rotterdam organized by The International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies, respectively, “European Integration: Bidirectional Happiness and Migration Relationships” and “Perspectives on Social Capital and Wellbeing”.
  • In June and August, Xi Chen presented “Firms Heterogeneity and Intra-Industry Reallocation: Beyond Dichotomous Partitioning” at the Conference on International Economics organized by the University of Alcalá, Spain, and at the conference of The European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE) in Italy.
  • In June, Francesco  Sarracino presented “A measure of well-being productivity based on the World Happiness Report” at Measuring Progress Annual Workshop organized by STATEC Research in Luxembourg.
  • Golnaz Amjadi presented “A Frontier Analysis of Transient and Persistent Eco-Efficiency Gap: Evidence from 22 European Countries” at North American Productivity Workshop organized by the Miami Business school and at 29th Ulvön Environmental Economics Conference organized by the Center for Environmental and Resource Economics, in June.
  • In June, Kelsey O'Connor presented “How to measure and (not) achieve societal progress” at Inaugural Measuring Progress Workshop organized by STATEC Research.
  • Francesco Sarracino in May presented “On the happiness roller-coaster with SDR 2.0” at Comparative Analyses Using Multi-Source Databases: Insights from the Survey Data Recycling (SDR) Project. This conference was organized by Ohio State University in United States.

  • In November, Chiara Peroni, Charles-Henri DiMaria, and Francesco Sarracino, each gave presentations at the Symposium on Well-being and Productivity organized by the Centre for the Study of Living Standards (Canada) and The Productivity Institute (United Kingdom). They presented, respectively: “Productivity gains from job satisfaction”, “From economic productivity to productive well-being”, and “A measure of well-being productivity based on the World Happiness Report.”
  • In October, Cesare Riillo presented “Immigration and Entrepreneurship: Cross-country Evidence” at the IECER 2021 Interdisciplinary European Conference on Entrepreneurship Research.
  • Kelsey O’Connor presented “From tweets to well-being: Sentiment analysis reveals how well-being evolved in Europe during the Covid-19 pandemic” both at the Happiness and Age Conference, organized by the International Center for Economic Analysis, and at the National Association of Business Economics Tech Economics Roundtable, in October.   • Pietro Santoleri presented “The Causal Effects of R&D Grants: Evidence from a Regression Discontinuity” at the DRUID Conference hosted by the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, in October.
