Decline in bankruptcies and liquidations between January and May 2022
According to the latest count from the Ministry of Justice/STATEC, 450 companies were declared bankrupt and 393 were put into liquidation during the first five months of 2022.
Bankruptcies
The number of bankruptcies pronounced between January and May 2022 (450) fell by 10% compared to the same period of the previous year. Holding companies and investment funds represent 28.7% of bankruptcies during the period under review, while 21.1% of bankrupt companies are classified in the trade branch.
