The economic seminar Senior citizens in Luxembourg - Unique socio-economic profiles, major challenges for the country took place on 17 September 2024 . This seminar was organised by STATEC, the University of Luxembourg and LISER.
At this occasion, Laurent Pacht, Antoine Decoville, Frédéric Durand (LISER) presented the following topic:
Senior citizens in Luxembourg - Unique socio-economic profiles, major challenges for the country
The latest publication based on census data deals specifically with senior citizens, not only through traditional demographic data, but also thanks to information provided directly by respondents revealing their migration profile, the languages they use, their situation with regard to disability, their relationship with work and their housing conditions. All these elements are fundamental to improving our knowledge of this population and the responses we can offer, all the more so in a general context of ageing European societies.
