Infographic 06/2026 – Stress and hostile content: a reality of social media in 2025
An ever-present part of daily life, social media also exposes users to stress and hostile content. In 2025, 32% of internet users reported experiencing stress related to social media. Nearly one in two young people feel stress linked to social media. Stress levels reach 45% among 16–24-year-olds and 49% among 25–34-year-olds, before falling sharply after the age of 35. Men and women are affected in equal proportions.
