Organisation

STATEC is the national statistical authority that coordinates the national statistical system, and represents it on the international level. STATEC is headed by a Director, who is assisted by a Deputy Director.

The Director’s board, which consists of the Director, the Deputy Director and the heads of departments, deals with the issues regarding budget and staff. It supervises the execution of urgent matters.

The activities are organised among 6 divisions and 22 units (see organisation chart (Pdf, 279 Kb)).

In order to achieve a better coordination of the public statistics of Luxembourg, the Public Statistics Committee, the Higher Council for Statistics and the Scientific Council have to give their opinion on the overall orientation of STATEC’s work.
